It didn’t take long for the winds to die down enough for Valla to drag Bar out into the sandstorm. Through a blizzard of dirt and dust layered on a dark dusk sky, they

marched, plunging deeper into the unknown as the night begins to claim any remaining heat from the day.

Valla’s insistence on them to keep moving, was not as if she was trying to get somewhere but rather get away from something. As they marched in the tail end of the storm, the wind lashes and whips their hair. Bar felt the driven compulsion himself, questions pervade his mind - What would his people do if they found him with Valla; an invader?

Bar wasn’t sure, but he thought his paranoia was simply Valla’s rubbing off on him. He watches her intently as the march. If she is marching away from her impending history, then what is it?

They walk in silence, as the night fades. Bar needs closure on something.

“Who is the ‘more’?”

“What?” Valla replies.

"You said, the Feral and ‘more.'"

Valla's eyes fall on Bar's, there's an edge of compassion about her words…
